Robovie-Z is a desktop-size bipedal humanoid from Osaka-based Vstone, long-time maker of the Robovie hobby and research robot line. It stands 31.5 cm, weighs about 1 kg, and moves on 20 servos (6 per leg, 3 per arm, 2 in the torso) controlled by a Raspberry Pi 4 with an 8MP camera and ROS support. The official Vstone Robot Shop lists it at 297,000 yen (about $2,000) tax included, with a cheaper Robovie-Z Light variant, optional hand units, and monthly rental plans. It targets programming education, university coursework, and hobbyist robot competitions in Japan.
