Overview

STAR1 is a 171 cm, ~65 kg humanoid from Beijing-based RobotEra (incubated from Tsinghua University) with 55 degrees of freedom and fully direct-drive joints up to 400 Nm. Driven by RobotEra's ERA-42 embodied-AI model, it set a bipedal running-speed mark of 3.6 m/s during a Gobi Desert run and has demonstrated fine bimanual manipulation such as using chopsticks.
