Modular Chinese industrial humanoid with swappable bipedal/wheeled legs and interchangeable hands, already working at FAW Hongqi and Nio car plants.

Overview

Leju Robotics launched the Kuavo-5 (with a wheeled 5-W variant) in October 2025 as a modular industrial humanoid whose legs and hands can be swapped between bipedal, wheeled, gripper and dexterous-hand configurations. Units have been delivered to automotive manufacturers including FAW Hongqi and Nio, and in March 2026 Leju opened a Foshan mass-production plant with contract manufacturer Dongfang Precision rated at roughly 10,000 units per year. Press-reported pricing is around $50,000, positioning it in the mid-range of industrial humanoids.
