Unitree R1

Shipping 2025 Business & Consumer

Ultra-light 1.23 m developer humanoid from $5,900 that runs, cartwheels and kickboxes, sold directly on Unitree's online store.

Overview

Unveiled in July 2025, the Unitree R1 broke the price floor for full humanoids at $5,900 (R1 AIR from $4,900), undercutting Unitree's own G1. It is an ultra-lightweight ~29 kg platform with 26 degrees of freedom, binocular vision, a 4-microphone array and voice/image recognition, capable of dynamic feats like cartwheels and spin-kicks. It ships worldwide from shop.unitree.com with a quick-swap battery and open SDK, and a quote-only R1 EDU adds NVIDIA Orin compute for research. The R1 cemented Unitree's low-cost leadership as the company moved toward its 2026 IPO and an NVIDIA humanoid platform partnership.
