Kangaroo
Full-size dynamic biped from PAL Robotics with force-controlled linear actuators, configurable arms, and up to 40 DoF.
Overview
Kangaroo is PAL Robotics' newest bipedal humanoid, built for dynamic locomotion and embodied-AI research alongside its REEM-C and TALOS platforms. It stands 1.58 m and weighs 50-65 kg depending on configuration, with 6-DoF legs driven by custom force-sensing linear actuators, a 2-DoF torso, optional 4-7 DoF arms, and 14-40 total degrees of freedom under a 2 kHz EtherCAT control loop. Arm payload runs 3-7 kg extended and 25-30 kg bimanual, with gripper or multi-finger hand options. Sold in Lite, Standard, and Pro variants through a request-a-quote flow on PAL's official site; pricing is not public.
